culture as infrastructure

i design cultural programs, creative partnerships,

and community-centered experiences that build belonging —

supported by thoughtful strategy, operational care, and participatory design.

i build cultural programs as living infrastructure: spaces for creative practice, public learning, and collective care. my approach brings vision, relational stewardship, and practical design together — shaping programs that feel intentional, well-held, and responsive to the people they’re meant to serve.

my approach, in practice

partnership alignment • facilitation support + training • program design • care + access planning • documentation + learning loops

what i build

community-based cultural programs

i design and deliver community-centered cultural programs across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats, including workshops, teach-ins, facilitated gatherings, public conversations, and place-aware cultural experiences.

care + access in the design

i build care and access into the work from the beginning, shaping timelines, staffing, communications, and run-of-show decisions with people’s actual needs in mind.

partnerships that deepen the work

i build partnerships with community organizations, cultural institutions, and local leaders, aligning shared intentions, roles, and ways of working so collaborations feel grounded, reciprocal, and well-held.

facilitation support + team structure

i support facilitators and collaborators through onboarding, coordination, resources, and reflective feedback, creating enough structure for the work to feel coherent without flattening local context, voice, or creative autonomy.

documentation + what the work leaves behind

i collaborate with storytellers, designers, and partners to document what a program made possible through reflections, testimonials, and narrative documentation that helps the learning carry forward and build archives of community-centered work.

operations that hold the work

i oversee the day-to-day structures that help programs come to life, including timelines, scheduling, vendor coordination, communications, documentation, and project management workflows.

how i work

place-aware, community-defined

programs are shaped with community voice, consent, and lived experience. they are not imposed from the outside, rather built from within.

values into form

i translate vision into structures people can actually work with: clear roles, facilitation support, timelines, communication rhythms, and feedback loops.

steady through the messy middle

i know how to hold both people and process through growth, change, and tension, keeping the work grounded, relational, and accountable.

where this shows up

  • multi-site and neighborhood-rooted programming

  • youth and intergenerational learning spaces

  • cultural institutions, community organizations, and public-facing initiatives

  • hybrid programs that move between physical and digital space

ways we can work together

i am currently open to work! collaborations, contracts, and full-time positions in community and cultural program design.

  • a focused engagement to clarify the shape of your program: who it serves, what it holds, how it works, and what kinds of support it needs behind the scenes.

  • templates, facilitation supports, workflows, access planning, and documentation practices that make the work easier to hold.

  • support shaping partner roles, communication rhythms, shared expectations, and care agreements that lead to stronger collaboration.

  • program facilitation, onboarding, coaching, and reflective feedback loops for facilitators, hosts, and program teams.

  • ongoing thought partnership for people navigating scope, staffing, delivery, and the messy middle of community-centered work.

examples from my practice

for more than a decade, i’ve designed, stewarded, and evolved programs rooted in belonging, cultural memory, and care.

my work includes founding and leading community-based cultural programming through party noire, radical healing lab, and digital healingways.

i also partner with arts, cultural, and social justice organizations to support culturally responsive programming, facilitator coordination, logistics, hybrid delivery planning, and the translation of community feedback into meaningful iteration.

selected collaborations include: arts + public life, sisters in cinema, museum of contemporary art, affinity community services.

what i bring to teams

for teams looking for someone who can lead programs end-to-end and strengthen the structures around them, my work often includes:

  • program leadership across multiple projects and stakeholders

  • partnership development and stewardship

  • facilitation support, onboarding, and team coordination

  • operations including timelines, scheduling, vendors, and documentation

  • participatory design practices rooted in consent and lived experience

  • documentation, reflection, and narrative learning
